Nashville has a vibrant music and entertainment scene spanning a variety of genres. With a long history in the music scene, it is no surprise that the city was nicknamed ‘Music City.’

Nashville is the epicentre for the country music industry, many popular tourist attractions involve country music, including the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Belcourt Theatre, and Ryman Auditorium. The Ryman was home to the Grand Ole Opry until 1974 when the show moved to the Grand Ole Opry House. The Opry plays there several times a week, except for an annual winter run at the Ryman.

 RCA Studio B in Nashville. Studio B was the birthplace of the Nashville sound. The studio is located centrally in the historic Music Row district. Currently, studio B is managed by the Country Music Hall of Fame and it runs scheduled tours of the facility. Beyond the countless recordings made by legendary music artists here, Elvis Presley is known to have made more than two hundred song recordings at this location.

Many music clubs and honky-tonk bars are in downtown Nashville, particularly in Lower Broadway, Second Avenue, and Printer’s Alley.

Many Famous Country Stars have opened their own Bar/ Honky Tonk, including Kid Rock, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and many more.

The Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience – The CMA Music Festival (FanFair). Since it began in 1972 the CMA Fest has grown and grown and now more than 75,000 country music fans attend each day! Downtown Nashville is transformed into a huge outdoor party where fans can interact with artists and other fans through musical performances, autograph signings, games and giveaways, for four days and nights you can experience all the CMA has to offer!

Nashville nicknamed “Music City” is the true home of country music and the CMA Music Festival is the premier event of the year in all country music. All the top performers come out for concerts, autographs, fan parties and picture opportunities.

The CMA Music Festival takes place around four main venues in the downtown area. The first is Music City Center where all the booths are contained in air-conditioned comfort. The Riverfront Park stage and many other stages around downtown area feature shows from some of the best of the current, past and some of the up and coming stars in country music all day long. Then there is the Ascend Amphitheatre where the country roads stage has been featured for the last few years. On each of the four evenings of the festival – Nissan Stadium lights up the town with the top artists of the day ( and a few surprise guests) all together in one place!
